This poly lumber is made from 95% recycled materials, where it will be serving nature, not destroying it by sitting in a landfill. Not only is the material recycled, we use the poly lumber pieces left over from making larger outdoor furniture pieces to create these beautiful, bright birdhouses. The poly lumber construction never needs to be waterproofed, reconditioned, or painted - it's completely ready to go!

We advise hanging your wren house from a tree branch, shepherd's hook, or eye screw at 5'-8' above the ground. This will keep it away from predators but accessible for cleaning. When selecting a spot, be sure to mount the wren house's hole facing away from the winds in your yard. This will help protect your house inhabitants from wind chill and maintain their body temperature during the coldest times of the year. Be sure that the birdhouse's entrance is free from dangling tree limbs, foliage, and shrubs so your birds can have easy access to their home.
Keep your birdhouse ideal for bird-guests by cleaning it out at the end of the season. This helps remove mites and parasites that may harm nestlings. To clean, remove the roof and dump out the empty nesting materials. After the birdhouse is empty, wash the inside with mild, scent-free soap and water. Use a wet melamine sponge to remove tough stains.
