Uwharrie Chair Company is a leading name in the outdoor furniture industry with many of their pieces constructed of Premium Uwharrie Polymer. Polymer is a stable, high density poly vinyl chloride - a recycled pre-consumer vinyl. No natural resources are consumed in the construction of these pieces and the materials are recyclable. The Polymer furniture is hand painted and lightly distressed to give it the weathered appearance that Uwharrie is known for as well as being available in the same great finishes as their pine counterparts.
This Adirondack style settee in the Wave Collection, made of Premium Uwharrie Polymer, was developed for all-season outdoor use with a whimsical look to boot. Not only is it designed to resist insect infestation and rot, even with ground contact, it also does not require additional protection from exposure to the weather's elements. In addition, the polymer is made through a free foam process which prohibits mushrooming of the product when secured with screws - a problem commonly seen with other synthetic wood products.

Some assembly required.
Uwharrie Chair recommends mild soap and water for the cleaning of all of their products. They also recommend that the bolts on the product are "snugged up" at least once a year. Please note that this does not mean that the bolts are tightened so far that they are run down into the wood. Just a nice "snug" fit. For pine products, please remember that this is a living and breathing material that expands and contracts with weather so this may affect how tight you will want to "snug up" the bolts.
Uwharrie's 1” Thick Pressure Treated Pine furniture comes with a limited lifetime warranty against termites and decay when used in normal environmental conditions.
